Tariff Notice

Valued Shore Power Customers,

On July 6th the Executive branch of the Government levied a 25% tariff on various batteries and components imported from China under section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974.

While the majority of our portfolio is unaffected by this huge, and immediate import tax, primary lithium batteries manufactured in China do fall within this regulation as do some zinc-air cells and components used in the making of lead acid cells.

We always strive to offer the best, most competitive price on the market; however, due to the magnitude of these changes, we are forced to pass the cost increases along to you. Per federal guidelines these changes apply to all open, unfulfilled orders, effective immediately. This may appear as a separate line item on your order or be factored into the price of the product. Shore Power has no control over this situation and regrets having to take this action. This was not an easy decision to make; a choice at which we arrived only after extensive discussions and review.

Should these tariffs be altered, we will adjust the line item charges accordingly. We thank you for your understanding and patience in this challenging business climate and for your continued relationship with Shore Power Inc.
